Overview
When an attendee disputes a charge with their bank, PopOutNow notifies you. You can respond with evidence to contest the dispute.
Step-by-Step
- You'll receive an email notification when a dispute is opened
- Go to your event's Disputes section (or the admin disputes page)
- Review the dispute details and the reason given by the attendee
- Submit evidence if you want to contest: event details, ticket confirmation, check-in records
- The outcome is decided by the card network — typically within 60–75 days
Common Issues / FAQ
Should I always contest a dispute? Only contest if you have clear evidence the ticket was used or the attendee attended. Frivolous contests can hurt your Stripe account standing.
Can I issue a refund instead of contesting? Yes — issuing a refund before the dispute deadline closes the dispute without a chargeback.
