Manage chargebacks and refund disputes initiated by attendees.

Overview

When an attendee disputes a charge with their bank, PopOutNow notifies you. You can respond with evidence to contest the dispute.

Step-by-Step

  1. You'll receive an email notification when a dispute is opened
  2. Go to your event's Disputes section (or the admin disputes page)
  3. Review the dispute details and the reason given by the attendee
  4. Submit evidence if you want to contest: event details, ticket confirmation, check-in records
  5. The outcome is decided by the card network — typically within 60–75 days

Common Issues / FAQ

Should I always contest a dispute? Only contest if you have clear evidence the ticket was used or the attendee attended. Frivolous contests can hurt your Stripe account standing.

Can I issue a refund instead of contesting? Yes — issuing a refund before the dispute deadline closes the dispute without a chargeback.
