In-App Browser Note
Why promo links may not track correctly when opened inside Instagram, TikTok, or other apps.
Overview
When someone taps a link inside Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, or similar apps, it opens in that app's built-in browser. These in-app browsers block the tracking that PopOutNow uses to attribute ticket sales to your promo link.
What to Tell Your Audience
Ask buyers to open your link in Safari (iPhone) or Chrome (Android) instead of tapping it directly in the app.
On iPhone: Tap the three-dot menu in the in-app browser and select Open in Safari.
On Android: Tap the three-dot menu and select Open in Chrome.
Why This Matters
If a buyer completes their purchase inside an in-app browser, the sale may not be attributed to your promo link — meaning you won't receive commission for it.
Common Issues / FAQ
Is there anything PopOutNow can do to fix this? In-app browsers are controlled by third-party apps (Instagram, TikTok, etc.) and intentionally restrict tracking. The best solution is educating your audience to open links in a real browser.
